Sullivan Bay

In October 1803 David Collins landed at Sullivan Cove, Port Phillip, with 300 convicts intending to relieve pressure on the burgeoning population of felons in Sydney and also forestall the French who were believed to be looking to create a settlement in Bass Strait. Rejecting the intended settlement as untenable, Collins sailed south landing on the River Derwent where he settled Hobart instead.

Numbered 47 of a limited edition of 450 copies.

This is a USED book; it is in generally good condition but has a mark on the back cover from an old price sticker and some scuff marks. Please contact the bookshop, Just Tassie Books at The Book Cellar, if you require additional detailed photos and description of condition before purchasing.
