Martin Cash's personal narrative of his life as a bushranger in Van Diemen's Land — the 12th impression of the account first published in 1870, ghostwritten by fellow convict James Lester Burke. Cash was an Irish convict from County Wexford who twice escaped from Port Arthur and led an eight-month bushranging spree with Kavanagh and Jones through 1843, robbing mail coaches, homesteads and inns across Van Diemen's Land.
