The famous actor Errol Flynn's father, Theo, became a professor at the University of Tasmania at the age of 28 and went on to become a leading world figure in marsupial research, Royal Commissioner and Professor of Zoology at Queen's University, Belfast.

He was awarded an MBE for services during World War II and in retirement held a chair in anatomy at a California university, and managed his son's estates in Jamaica. This biography of Prof Theo Flynn shows how he was more than just Errol's dad.
