Clifford Craig's catalogue of prints depicting Van Diemen's Land and Tasmania — prepared by engravers and illustrators in Great Britain, Europe and on the Australian mainland during the colonial period. Craig was the foremost authority on early Tasmanian printmaking and visual history — his three major reference works on Tasmanian prints form the definitive scholarly record of how the island was represented visually to the outside world during the colonial era.
