The Ross Bridge sculptures are one of the great enigmas of Tasmania art - 186 architectural decorations carved in relief by convicts transported to the penal colony of Van Diemen's Land. The much visited bridge remains intact today, carrying road traffic into the town of Ross in the Northern Midlands of Tasmania.
