Published in 1988, this is Kenneth J Evans's history of the Christian Brethren assemblies of Tasmania's Circular Head district, tracing their origin, beliefs and practices from early settlement through chapters on Montagu, Marrawah, King Street Smithton, Forest, El-Nathan Smithton, Edith Creek, Stanley, Lileah and Riverbend, with family trees and an index of the pioneering families involved. Evans was born in Leesville and had a long association with Circular Head's Brethren assemblies and community affairs, serving as a Coroner for the State of Tasmania, a Justice of the Peace and a marriage celebrant, and working professionally as a valuer.
