The companion volume to Part I, covering the later period of Tasmanian postal history and postal markings. Where Part I focused on the early Van Diemen's Land period through the colonial era, Part II extends the record into the later period, covering additional postmarks, post office openings and closures, and the development of the Tasmanian postal network through the Federation era and beyond.

Written by John Avery, P.B. Edwards, O.G. Ingles and J.R.W. Purves — Purves having also contributed to Part I — and published by the Royal Philatelic Society of Victoria in 1975.

Illustrated throughout with black and white reproductions of postmarks and postal markings. This copy retains the loose sheets of maps inserted inside the rear cover — these are frequently missing from copies that come onto the market, making this a more complete copy than is usually found.
