A second book of satirical cartoons on the 1975 Tasman Bridge disaster and its long aftermath, by Kev Bailey — staff political cartoonist for the Mercury. On the night of 5 January 1975, the bulk carrier Lake Illawarra struck Hobart's Tasman Bridge, collapsing several pylons into the Derwent River and killing 12 people. The disaster cut Hobart's eastern shore off from the city for years, reshaping the city's transport and politics.
