Exiled Three Times Over! profiles Norfolk Islanders who, between 1807 and 1813, were exiled a third time - first sent to Port Jackson, then to Norfolk Island, then ordered on again to the new colony of Van Diemen's Land, many of them by then free settlers rather than convicts. The ships HMS Porpoise and the Lady Nelson carried them on this final leg. Irene Schaffer and Thelma McKay draw on previously unpublished accounts of the exiles' hardship and survival to build individual profiles of the people involved.
