George Augustus Robinson, a key figure in the history of Van Diemen's Land and and the colony's interactions with its aboriginal peoples was a prolific diarist and left an amazing record of his experiences. In this revised and updated second edition of his monumental work, editor NJB "Brian" Plomley, added a comprehensive index, corrections to the original work and information to provide a fuller and more accurate account of the colonial administration's encounters and governance of the aboriginal population.

This is an out-of-print book; it is in USED but generally very good condition with some wear to the edges of the cover and some small specks on the outer edge of the page block.
