A history of capital punishment in Tasmania, from the earliest days of the Van Diemen's Land penal colony when Thomas England was executed for stealing provisions, to the abolition of hanging for murder in 1968.

This is an out-of-print book; it is in USED but generally okay condition. The dustjacket is worn and torn at the edges; half of the first (blank) page has been removed to remove name details. Pages are otherwise very good. Please contact the bookshop, Just Tassie Books at The Book Cellar, if you require additional detailed photos and description of condition before purchasing.
