The third volume in Tony McCormack's "Reaching Out" series of local farming histories, covering the northern Tasmanian Midlands districts of Blessington, Evandale, Clarendon and Nile.
McCormack continues his approach of combining individual farm and family histories with the broader story of agricultural settlement in this part of the Northern Midlands, drawing on interviews and records from the families who have worked this country.
At 266 pages with black and white photographs throughout and a full index, this is a substantial piece of local agricultural history and a natural companion to the Evandale and other "Reaching Out" volumes.
