The two-volume unit history of the 2/12th Battalion AIF, written by Alex Graeme-Evans and published in 1989 and 1991. The 2/12th was a Tasmanian infantry battalion raised at the outbreak of the Second World War, and its history covers service in the Middle East, the defence of Timor, and the Pacific campaign through to the end of the war.
Volume 1 covers October 1939 to March 1942 — from formation and training through the Middle East and the fall of Timor. Volume 2 covers March 1942 to January 1946 — the remainder of the Pacific war and the battalion's return to Australia. Together the two volumes run to 731 pages and are illustrated throughout with black and white photographs.
Out of print and not commonly found as a complete set.

CONDITION
Used, generally good condition. Both volumes are covered in clear contact plastic by the previous owner — a common practice that preserves the covers and does not affect the text or usability.
