Winston Churchill's six-volume history and memoir of the Second World War, originally published between 1948 and 1953: The Gathering Storm, Their Finest Hour, The Grand Alliance, The Hinge of Fate, Closing the Ring, and Triumph and Tragedy.
Churchill was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1953, in recognition of his mastery of historical and biographical writing more broadly — this set was still being completed at the time. This is the complete six-volume Reprint Society (book club) edition from the 1950s.
