Annie Cocker was born in Spreyton, Tasmania in 1857, daughter of David Cocker, a pioneer in the early days of the Mersey River settlement. In her late life she became a teacher, writer, artist and historian. This book illustrates Annie Cocker's particular talent with oils, watercolours and drawings to portray scenery and portraiture, as well as her principal botanical works.
