Teenager Ann Page grew up at Frodsley, a rural property in Tasmania's Fingal Valley in the 1930's and left a detailed account of what she observed when riding in the bush, rowing on the local Break O'Day River or going for long walks.

Ann's love of the landscape was such that she felt herself part of the bush. Margaretta Pos has bought the three volumes of her mother's beautifully written nature diary into the light, after decades stored in a suitcase.
