A single-volume showcase of Peter Dombrovskis's wilderness photography, with introduction and commentary by Bob Brown, published in 2017. Dombrovskis spent his life photographing Tasmania's wild places, and his photograph "Morning Mist, Rock Island Bend" became one of the defining images of the Franklin River campaign — used in the 1983 federal election and widely credited with helping turn public opinion against the Franklin Dam.
Dr Bob Brown, who led that campaign and later founded the Australian Greens, provides commentary throughout this collection drawing on his own deep knowledge of both the man and the country he photographed.
At 187 pages, this is a broader retrospective of Dombrovskis's work than any single campaign-era book — elemental forces, wild beauty, and the colours and patterns of the Tasmanian wilderness he spent his life trying to protect.
This copy is signed by Bob Brown.
