In 1813 members of the abandoned Norfolk Island community were resettled on flats along the South Esk River about 15 kilometres from Launceston in Tasmania. The Panninher Aboriginal people were displaced from their hunting grounds, and the European communities of Longford, Cressy, Perth and Bishopsbourne developed with a new population of European settlers and convicts.

This is an out-of-print book; it is in USED but generally good condition. There is a tear in the last (blank) page. Please contact the bookshop, Just Tassie Books at The Book Cellar, if you require additional detailed photos and description of condition before purchasing.
