A scarce 1933 first-edition collection of deeply reflective essays by the celebrated 20th-century theologian and pastor, Dr. Frank William Boreham. Highly regarded for his eloquent prose, Boreham's out-of-print titles remain heavily sought after by global collectors.
Condition Details & Defects:
- Format: Hardcover with original paper dust jacket. Published 1933 (First Edition).
- Dust Jacket: Present but shows substantial wear. The paper has heavy widespread foxing, the spine has darkened significantly over time, and the edges show typical light wear and tearing. The front flap is price-clipped.
- Cover & Binding: The cloth boards show minor edge wear and beginnings of surface mottling, particularly across the back panel. The binding remains tight, though there is a small tear to the inner paper hinge area at the rear endpaper.
- Interior: Features a vintage bookshop sticker inside the front cover. The pages are tanned with age, with heavy foxing concentrated heavily at the beginning and end of the volume (around the endpapers and title pages). The text block remains complete and fully legible throughout.
A highly authentic, jacketed survival copy for a dedicated private Boreham collection. Please check our detailed extra photos showing the jacket foxing, spine darkening, and cover mottling before purchasing. Contact Just Tassie Books / The Book Cellar if you have any questions.
