Heroes All - Tasmanian Casualties in the Anglo-Boer War by Reg A Watson |SC|

857 Tasmanians served in the Boer War of 1899–1902 — 36 officers and 821 other ranks — among them Trooper John Hutton Bisdee and Lieutenant Guy Wylly, both of the Tasmanian Imperial Bushmen, who were awarded the Victoria Cross. Forty are known to have died in South Africa, with two more lost on the voyage home aboard the transport Drayton Grange. Self-published Tasmanian historian and journalist Reg A Watson records their stories in Heroes All.

We also stock a wide range of Australian military history and Tasmanian associated books — see Related Products below or search the catalogues. Order two or more titles together and we'll combine postage into one parcel.
