Built in 1821 at Hadspen in northern Tasmania, Entally House was home to four generations of the Reibey family, descendants of the celebrated emancipist businesswoman Mary Reibey.
In this booklet, Tasmanian historian K.R. von Stieglitz traces the house and its pioneering occupants from 1792 to 1912, making it a useful reference for anyone researching the Reibey family or the history of colonial homesteads in the northern reaches of the Tasmanian Midlands, now Meander Valley municipality. Entally House later passed into public hands under the Scenery Preservation Board, before once again coming under private management. It remains one of Tasmania's notable historic properties.
