Former Tasmanian Governor, William Cox reflects on his career in the law and Army Reserve. As a sixth generation Tasmanian, he also recounts some of his family's history in the early days of European settlement of Norfolk Island and Van Diemen's Land. As a former State Governor he concludes the book with a discussion of the exercise of the Tasmanian Governor's Reserve Powers between 1914 and 1989.
