The History of the topsail schooner, Alma Doepel, is an important addition to Australia's recorded maritime history. This remarkable wooden vessel plied the waters of southern Australia for nearly 75 years and is now undergoing faithful restoration in readiness to become a sail training vessel. Once part of Henry Jones' IXL "Jam Fleet" it had a proud connection with Tasmania.
